Demonstrations & Workshops

For those groups who desire a more 'hands on' experience I can provide either a 2 hour demonstration on some of the techniques I use or you can book a full day workshop. Normally this runs from 10am - 4pm with a break for lunch. (lunch is not provided.)

I begin by showing some demonstration boards of techniques with group discussion and how these have been used in paintings. The next stage is flexible according to the groups wishes but includes participation in techniques when I provide tuition as required. I encourage people to bring along a piece of work that they would like advice on or as a group we can attempt a finished piece of work in line with the title of the workshop booked.

Currently the 1 day Workshops are:-
How to Paint Realistic Eyes in Watercolour
Painting Fur in Watercolour
Painting Feathers in Watercolour
Drawing Animals made Easy for Beginners
The Natural World in Mixed Media & Collage

Clevedon Art Club
Ruth has been a welcome visitor to the Clevedon Art Club. Her talk on the ' Magic of the Okavango' illustrated by her paintings and photographs was inspiring and vividly brought to life the wonder of this exciting region of Africa.
Lately she gave a one-day workshop to our members, advising and demonstrating how to produce accurate and sensitive pictures of wildlife for which she clearly has a great affection.
